  Great place to purchase your next new vehicle. Very informative and relaxed approach to sales. Travis listened carefully to our needs and nice to haves for our new truck purchase and found the perfect truck for us at an amazing price. Tim, the manager, came through in the end when an issue on our end almost killed the deal. We would highly recommend friends and family to go to the Upper James John Bear GMC and Chevy dealership.

  Started with booking a test drive online. Called and setup appointment. Was introduced to Marcel in Sales. We looked at a few vehicles and settled in ordering a 2018 Traverse. Marcel was fantastic answering a lot of questions and spending most of Black Friday ordering a new vehicle. I would recommend John Bear and Marcel if you need a GM vehicle. Thanks.

  I take my car there because it's under warranty but once the warranty is over I will not be returning for the mechanical service. Every time I take it in including for an oil change they say I need an alignment even though maybe 2 weeks earlier I already had one. And every time I take it in they tell me I need at least $1,000 worth of work done to the car that's not under the warranty. I'm going to quite a few dealerships and I found this one likes to gouge and nickel-and-dime people there one woman in the customer service Catherine I believe is her name really needs to become better trained at handling people her people skills suck

  I recently had my Pontiac Vibe in for a couple of recalls, the service for the recall was great, I was treated wonderfully. Immediately upon picking up my car, some sensor lights in the dash were on, and stayed on that were not on prior to servicing the car at John Bear. I called today after ranting about how great the service was only to find out they will charge me $140.00 to diagnose when those lights were not on upon dropping off my car. Therefore I can not give them a full good rating, very disappointed. Forcing me to drive my car dangerously not knowing what is wrong, and i'm thankful the weather not icy and snowy right now, as one of the lights coming on is ABS.
