For the past year and a bit, I have been very ill with chronic diseases where at times, pain medication does not always help. Whenever the medication does not work I would go to this clinic in hopes to get treated.

This is an emergency centre, one that was close to my home and never had a difficult problem here getting the help I needed in the past.

I was pleased with my first visit to this clinic. I was in and out in under two hours. All staff were very pleasant, kind and kid friendly. The space itself is well organized and calm (perhaps the calm was a fluke of the time and day I went; 6pm on super bowl Sunday). This will be my go to clinic in future.

For this day that I went in, I was disgusted by the nurses reactions to my pain. I had firstly, fallen to the floor because I was in intense pain and for a moment I felt fine. A nurse approached me and said, "Oh come on, get up. You're faking" (BELIEVE IT OR NOT!) when I only responded with breathing and covering my eyes, she said, "Well you didn't faint, because if you did, you wouldn't be moving your arms right now." She grabbed me and tried to hoist me into the waiting room chair. I told her four times, "I'm sorry, it just hurts." to which she responded, "if you were really this sick, you shouldn't be here."

I do NOT recommend coming here unless you had a child. I notice that is when they treat you with respect.

I took my daughter there last spring, after being pricked by a cactus. Within hours her arm had swelled to enormous proportions and turned greenish grey.

The more recent one was further commented upon by my regular GP, who, when hearing about the diagnostic process here, said " How do they sleep at night?" That is quite a statement.

It could be a lack of consistency in which doctor is working at the clinic on any particular occasion . But there are enough superior walk in clinics in the area that I see no reason to try this place again

Jan. 20, 2018. Arrived at the urgent care centre today at 7:30 pm and was almost immediately seen by a friendly triage nurse. A few minutes later I was seen by another nurse and then sent straight into the treatment room. Both doctors and staff were very nice, knowledgeable and understanding. I was treated accordingly and allowed to stay past closing until I felt ready to go home. I would really like to thank everyone on shift tonight for their friendly attitude, hard work and dedication!

They saved her life, and no amount of bad reviews will ever convince me that the staff don't care.

For the last two times I have been there it has been a very unpleasant experience, both times I went to St. Joe's hospital immediately after to get the help I needed so function properly.

She was kept waiting a lot longer at HGH emergency, but they did give her something for the pain. For nearly a week, I feared for her life. When I was sure she'd live, I wondered if she'd lose her arm.

He did whatever it is doctors do to decide what is the best course of treatment, then he told my daughter she needed better care than they could give at urgent care. Gave us $30 taxi chits, and sent us to Hamilton General Hospital, emergency. Turned out, she had contracted a staph infection from the cactus. Apparently they tend to carry that bacteria.

Unfortunately, my other family members have also experienced situations such as this. My mother, Aunts and my grandmother once too. It seems that the quality of caregiving has decreased within the last 6 months. We go to St. Joe's now.

Either of those two events might have come to pass if it weren't for staff who recognize a real need and deal with it........immediately.

We arrived, took a number, waited for just a couple of minutes, and someone must have mentioned her arm to the staff, because someone came out and rushed her over to triage. One look and the triage nurse said to move to the next window. Asked no questions. Just sent us on. We were put into a cubicle, where a doctor came very quickly.
